WPP Digital acquires Blue State Digital for undisclosed sum

WPP has acquired all the assets of privately held Blue State Digital (BSD) in the US and UK for an undisclosed amount, through WPP Digital, the digital investment and operating arm of WPP.

BSD specialises in advocacy, membership and fundraising campaigns for non-profits, educational and cultural institutions, political campaigns and corporate brands.

The company’s annual revenue has grown by approximately 30% per year since its founding and employs 130 people across offices in Washington DC, Boston, New York, Los Angeles and London.

The company was founded in 2004 and worked on the 2008 ‘Obama for America’ fundraising campaign.
