Vero’s chairman Mike Lee (pictured), was previously director of communications for the London Olympic bid. Lee also worked on Rio de Janeiro’s bid to host the 2016 Olympic Games and Quatar’s bid to host the 2022 FIFA World Cup.
Tottenham’s east end rival West Ham United is also campaigning to take over the stadium, with its vice-chairman and star of The Apprentice Karren Brady leading the pitch, with support from chairman of the London Organising Committee for the Olympic Games.
Lee was formerly a board member at West Ham and advised the club during its takeover by an Icelandic consortium.
A decision is expected to be reached by 21 January.
