Banner Corporation has been appointed by internet domain name
registrar, Network Solutions to strengthen the company’s brand
The agency won the contract in a two-way competitive pitch with Brodeur

The one-year, six-figure fee contract includes media relations and new
Network Solutions was acquired last week by on-line security provider
VeriSign in a deal worth pounds 13 billion. Part of Banner’s brief will
be the redefinition of its brand in the light of this acquisition.
Banner is also pitching for Network Solutions’ advertising across
Europe, which will be awarded in the next couple of weeks.
’We’re hoping to help Network Solutions have a wholly integrated
campaign,’ said Ted Lelekas, Banner’s internet services group
Lelekas will head the campaign, which will be geared towards the
European business community. He also headed the team that launched
Network Solutions in Europe in 1999 while he was at Brodeur
’It was a coincidence that I left Brodeur at the same time as the
contract with Network Solutions ran out, but I did have a good
relationship with the people at Network Solutions,’ he said.
Banner Corporation, founded in 1984, is a European specialist technology
marketing agency which expects to have a turnover this fiscal year of
pounds 22 million.
