Specialist music agency LD Publicity, whose clients include the
Rolling Stones and Shania Twain, has formed a dedicated TV and radio
promotions company called LD Promotions. The subsidiary will be headed
by Tony Cooke, ex-TV promotions manager at Warner Music.
’He’s an enthusiastic, go-getting Mancunian who has built up a wide
network of contacts,’ LD Publicity director Claire Singers said.
LD Promotions is expected to benefit from the client list and experience
of parent company LD Publicity, which has been in the music PR business
since 1986. The subsidiary is expected to be turning over around pounds
500,000 within three years.
’We will have to be choosy about what we take on, you have to believe in
the acts, to see they have an angle in order to promote them
successfully,’ Singers said.
