PUBLIC SECTOR: Mahoney heads PR for parenting body

The National Family and Parenting Institute, a charity set up by the Home Office last December to promote the role of families and parenting, has brought in Dean Mahoney as its first communications chief. Mahoney will report to the charity’s CEO Mary MacLeod. The role is a key one within the charity as it intends to use PR as its primary method of raising awareness of its aims of educating the public about family issues and positioning itself as a centre of policy advice in its area.
