PUBLIC SECTOR: British Museum’s PR ranks are swelling

The British Museum’s recently appointed head of marketing and public affairs, Carol Homden, is to beef up communications with the addition of six new posts. Head of press and PR Francis Dunkels will see her team bolstered by a press officer and a PR assistant, as well as a communications officer who will develop and implement an internal communications strategy. Elsewhere Homden will draft in a web site manager, a corporate affairs assistant and an information centre manager. The moves come ahead of the celebration of the 250th anniversary o f the museum and an associated pounds 98 million injection to develop the museum further.
