Ubisoft, the console games manufacturer, has drafted in social media agency Immediate Future to handle blogger and targeted site outreach activity for Your Shape: Fitness Evolved on Xbox 360. After a competitive pitch, Immediate Future is working with Ubisoft's in-house comms team to develop bespoke social media campaigns designed to generate buzz online about the game.
Brands are failing to effectively combine the use of social media and email in their comms with stakeholders, research carried out in the UK by email marketing services provider eCircle has revealed. According to the study of 1,000 consumers, 73 per cent can be reached through social networks and 95 per cent checked their emails at least once a day. But few brands are effectively harnessing the potential of integrating email with social networks.
