Judge & Howard, the Manchester-based PR and comms agency, has been brought in by Pharmacy2U, the NHS mail order pharmacy, for a 12-month awareness campaign. Starting in January, the national campaign will target practice managers and GPs in NHS surgeries.

Packer Forbes has made two hires to its expanding team. Ane Tobro joins as account director, having freelanced at the agency for the past ten months. Sarah Avent joins from Athena Medical as account manager to work on a range of ongoing PR and medical education business.

Just Health has announced the recipients of its latest pro-bono initiative, A Just Cause. The three charities winning comms support in 2011 to the combined equivalent of £150,000 are the Alzheimer's Society, Epilepsy Action and the Meningitis Trust.

AstraZeneca has launched its first UK iPhone app to provide healthcare professionals with information on genetic tests for lung cancer. The free app provides key information on testing in an easily accessible form, and is aimed at broadening education and awareness of the importance of testing.
