Fleishman-Hillard Saunders has recruited Niamh Lyons, a senior
associate at Burson-Marsteller in London, to head its technology
division. Lyons joined last week as an account director, reporting to
public affairs board director Michael Parker. Her post is a new one: the
agency’s existing technology clients, such as Dell Ireland, Microsoft
and 3Com, previously came within the agency’s public affairs and
corporate and financial practices, but were not handled by a separate
head. Lyons has been briefed to develop the hi-tech client base and
appoint new staff in due course. Fleishman-Hillard Saunders has also
appointed former Waterford Wedgwood brand marketing manager Penny
O’Neill as one of the three account directors in its 12-strong marketing
communications division.
