BORDER LINES: HAMBURG: Minolta extends Punkt PR brief

Europe’s second largest printer manufacturer, Minolta International, has extended its contract with Punkt to include co-ordinating European PR. Punkt, which already handles the firm’s German PR, won the trade and consumer account after a competitive pitch and replaces incumbent Metzger. The budget will be under the control of managing director Seigmund Kolthoff. The agency will promote the Minolta brand of products, which includes copiers, printers and fax-machines. Despite having a large chunk of the European market, the firm does not enjoy wide brand recognition as it previously made copiers for other companies.
