Government relations agency Barton Deakin hands senior role to Andrew Scannell

Government relations agency Barton Deakin has appointed Andrew Scannell to open its new Melbourne offices.

The agency's decision comes in response to demand from local organisations keen to build relationships with the new coalition Government.

Scannell was most recently global head of corporate communications at retail property group Centro and brings twenty years of experience working as a political adviser and senior corporate affairs manager with Australian and global firms.

Previously, he was the political adviser to former Premier of Victoria, Jeff Kennett.

Barton Deakin MD, Peter Collins, said: 'We're incredibly excited about the change in Government in Victoria after 11 years, and thrilled that someone with Andrew's political and corporate experience can join us to help represent business interests.'
