PUBLIC SECTOR: Aids charity revamps comms after merger

The Terrence Higgins Trust’s marketing director Christine Armitage is putting the finishing touches to a communications revamp in the wake of the trust’s absorption of four other HIV/AIDS charities. She will now co-ordinate the PR and marketing of what has become trust’s regional operations in Yorkshire, the Midlands, the South and Oxfordshire. In London, PR activity is being refocused to support the marketing activities of the charity. Armitage has brought in Marie Ennis from community charity CSV to replace Tom Lawson as assistant director of marketing and communications (PR Week, 4 June). Ennis will oversee Michael Carter, the new senior press officer, as well as two marketing officers and a junior press officer not yet appointed.
