PUBLIC SECTOR: T&G in talks with APCO over Lufthansa boycott

T&G communications chief Karen Livingstone is looking to draft in support from lobbying agency APCO to support its ’Don’t Fly Lufthansa’ campaign, launched this week. The campaign is promoting a boycott of the German airline after 270 workers were sacked last October at Lufthansa Skychef, a Heathrow catering facility owned by the company.

T&G communications chief Karen Livingstone is looking to draft in

support from lobbying agency APCO to support its ’Don’t Fly Lufthansa’

campaign, launched this week. The campaign is promoting a boycott of the

German airline after 270 workers were sacked last October at Lufthansa

Skychef, a Heathrow catering facility owned by the company.



The T&G has worked with APCO before on a campaign for former workers of

the National Bus Company. Livingstone is talking to the agency about

underpinning the European part of the campaign to reinstate the jobs by

lobbying unions and politicians in Germany and MEPs. General secretary

Bill Morris will lobby at Westmister and at the Labour Party conference

in the autumn.
