Voluntary Sector: The Week in Charities

Care for the Family has called in Essex-based PR agency Cinnamon Letters to raise the profile of the charity, which aims to strengthen family life throughout the UK and support families through a wide range of initiatives. Cinnamon Letters will initially run a 12-month campaign targeting the national and regional media.

The Charity Commission has published a report that suggests small charities should collaborate to bring real benefits. The report, Strength in numbers - small charities' experience of working together, shows the main factors contributing to successful collaborations are the quality of the pre-existing relationship with charity partners and the compatibility of organisational aims, values and mission.

People Power, the oneday annual campaigning forum for charities, not-for-profit organisations and individuals across the UK, will be held on 22 March.

The Meningitis Trust has brought in ITV1 This Morning's resident doctor, Dr Chris Steele, to launch its new website ahead of the peak in bacterial meningitis cases this winter. The website, meningitis-trust.org, has been designed to give people a more useable area to gain information and share experiences.
