Savage, Gordon Brown’s former press secretary, has been appointed head of PR and Broeke, previously national public affairs manager at Network Rail, has been appointed head of public affairs.
The pair will work alongside Elaine Brewster, the division’s head of marketing & comms, and will initially report to Paddy Toyne-Sewell, the corporate affairs director for G4S Secure Solutions in the UK & Ireland.
Savage joins G4S after more than four years working in-house in leading water utilities Thames Water and Veolia Water UK where she led media, PR and digital teams. She previously spent nine years in Whitehall press operations, including the Departments for International Development, Education and Skills and Trade and Industry.
Before working at Network Rail, Broeke was head of policy and stakeholder relations at the Beacon Fellowship Charitable Trust, a membership network of business leaders and social innovators, following three years as UK and European PA manager for the Equal Opportunities Commission.
