Tamesis wins Insignia Richard Ellis corporate PR

Chartered surveyor Insignia Richard Ellis has appointed specialist property PR consultancy Tamesis to handle its corporate account with fees worth pounds 140,000.

Chartered surveyor Insignia Richard Ellis has appointed specialist

property PR consultancy Tamesis to handle its corporate account with

fees worth pounds 140,000.

The account was won following a competitive pitch involving The

Communication Group, GCI Focus and Burson-Marsteller.

Seven-year incumbent Financial Dynamics decided not to repitch for the

account and will hand over to Tamesis at the end of this month.

FD corporate managing director David Lloyd said: ’We have enjoyed an

excellent relationship with Insignia Richard Ellis, but we have decided

to stand down on commercial grounds.’

However a source told PR Week that FD resigned the account because it

was too labour intensive.

Tamesis will work on a purely corporate brief, repositioning Insignia

Richard Ellis throughout the UK and Europe, where it is planning to

expand.

Tamesis senior partner Tony Danaher will head the four-strong team,

reporting to Insignia Richard Ellis marketing director Stephen

Clues.

Insignia Richard Ellis, formerly known as Richard Ellis, has an annual

turnover of pounds 65 million, nine offices in the UK and 850 employees

in the UK and Europe.

The company was rebranded as Insignia Richard Ellis in February

following its acquisition by the New York-based Insignia Group in 1998.

Last year, the company also merged with chartered surveyors St

Quintin.

Current Tamesis clients include Canary Wharf, Development Securities and

MIPIM, the property fair.
