PUBLIC SECTOR: Rigg for top post at Canine Defence League

The National Canine Defence League has appointed David Rigg as its communications director. Rigg, 44, joins from Allied Domecq where he was an executive in the corporate affairs department. He replaces Siobhan Lavelle who has returned to the consumer healthcare sector as a consultant at the agency Chandler Chicco. Rigg’s role will involve media relations, youth education and running the information and campaigns departments. The charity looks after stray and abandoned dogs through its network of 16 re-homing centres.
