The National Canine Defence League has appointed David Rigg as its
communications director. Rigg, 44, joins from Allied Domecq where he was
an executive in the corporate affairs department. He replaces Siobhan
Lavelle who has returned to the consumer healthcare sector as a
consultant at the agency Chandler Chicco. Rigg’s role will involve media
relations, youth education and running the information and campaigns
departments. The charity looks after stray and abandoned dogs through
its network of 16 re-homing centres.
