London agency Soho PR has launched a US operation to offer
publishing PR. Both markets are experiencing cross-fertilisation with UK
men’s magazine FHM launching in the US, while US teenage girls’ title
Jump is about to kick off in the UK. The idea is the brainchild of Soho
MD Anita Strymowicz, ex-publicist at Emap Metro, whose UK clients
include Channel 4, The Guardian and Miller Freeman. Her aim is to launch
with UK clients in the US before eventually picking up local US
business. A head for the New York office will be announced in the
forthcoming weeks.
