Leigh Jackson has been appointed head of communications at British
Trade International (BTI), the new body responsible for UK international
trade development and promotion. Jackson’s first job will be to appoint
a PR agency on a project basis to support the launch of BTI at the end
of the year. Jackson joins from the BBC, where she was head of
communication planning and will report to chief executive Sir David
Wright. Jackson plans to bring in team of nine to areas such as PR
strategy and planning, publicity, public affairs and internal
communications.
