Hitachi hands out $1m brief to P-N and Voce.

Hitachi Global Storage Technologies has hired Porter-Novelli and Voce Communications for a $1m (£627,000) PR campaign. Porter Novelli's US office will handle the brief in North America while the UK office will take care of the EMEA execution in markets including United Arab Emirates, Russia and Germany.

My Brand Tech is poised to launch a PR and marketing drive for a new range of laptops with a choice of graphics on the shell. The six-figure campaign will be run in-house. It will start at the end of this month and will be driven by PR, targeted email marketing and direct sales promotion. It will also include direct trade activity and a social media campaign, as well as a number of other sponsorships and promotional brand campaigns.

Ladbury PR has been appointed to promote Media Sandbox, a programme developed by consultants iShed to help businesses research emerging possibilities in digital media.

SHL, the workplace technology provider, has chosen Hotwire to handle its PR strategy and campaign development in the UK and Germany, plus project support across 50 countries. SHL provides behavioural and ability assessment tools and services in 30 languages to more than 10,000 organisations across 50 countries. In the UK it has streamlined the recruitment process for organisations including John Lewis Partnership.

Harvard PR has recruited Berkeley PR director Jo Jamieson as associate director. Jamieson started at Harvard earlier this month. Harvard PR is the technology division of the Bell Pottinger Group and currently counts audio specialist Sennheiser and graphics specialist NVIDIA among its clients.
