The agency will also manage the launch of new ride the Storm Surge. The year-long brief was awarded following a four-way competitive pitch.

House PR will create a calendar of activity to support the park’s key trading periods throughout the season including launch, Easter, summer and Halloween as well as ongoing press office activity.

The account will be led by House PR board director Krissy Knights and the agency will report to Thorpe Park PR manager Gareth Arculus.

Arculus said: ‘The strategic campaign for Thorpe Park in 2011 will continue to push boundaries with an ongoing focus on quirky stories and broadcast media, and the launch of Storm Surge will provide us a great opportunity to further raise awareness of our brand.’

House PR was awarded the business following a pitch that outlined launch proposals for Storm Surge and creative press office as well as a strong emphasis on celebrity engagement and broadcast media.
