PUBLIC SECTOR: Scottish council body launches roadshow

The Convention of Scottish Local Authorities (COSLA) is to spearhead the launch of a Question Time-style roadshow as part of a drive to engage the public in political discussion. COSLA, the Scottish equivalent of the LGA which promotes local government under CEO Oonagh Aitken, is one of five organisations - including the Law Society for Scotland and the Scottish Forum for Modern Government - which have joined together to launch the discussion evenings. The first session will feature David Whitton, the press secretary to the Scottish first minister, and Glasgow City Council’s head of PR John Brown.
