Flack: (saving) on expenses - World Service, Nottingham

Reviewer Alan Boyden, managing director, BCS PR

- What is it good for?

Just the place to forget the worries of the world or to convince that difficult client that you really do need to increase their fees. The restaurant has a luxurious mix of furnishings from around the world. Fine wine meets fine dining in the lounge bar while open fires lull you into a soporific state.

- Signature dishes

Signature starters include pickled shimeji mushroom, cured bresaola or Asian pears. For mains you'll love the wild sea bass with spring onion or the tiger prawn risotto with chilli and ginger.

- Who's the boss?

The owners are Dan Lindsay, Ashley Walter and Philip Morgan.

- Tips please

Get there early to enjoy a drink in the oak-panelled bar and do some people watching before taking your seat in the stylish surroundings of the main restaurant.

- What's the damage?

The average price per head for lunch is £20; for dinner it's £40 to £55 (including drinks).
