The move is being presented as a response to greater client demand for integrated marketing comms. It will put PR at the heart of the creative process at Euro RSCG London, alongside channel strategy and digital. Biss Lancaster will now be known as Euro RSCG London PR and will have a single profit and loss account.
Euro RSCG London CEO Russ Lidstone will lead the merged agency, with Graham Lancaster continuing as chairman of the PR business, Holly Ward as MD of the London office and Brian Beech as MD of the Manchester and Edinburgh offices.
Lancaster said there would be no redundancies as a result of the merger. Lidstone said: 'We're listening to clients and putting conversational media at the centre of our offering at Euro RSCG London, alongside digital and channel strategy.'
Biss Lancaster was founded in 1978, was sold to WCRS in 1985, and to Havas in 1989.
