Internet incubator Cube8. com has acquired a 20 per cent stake in

PVC, a new media agency to be launched by consumer agency Pro Vision

Communications.

The new venture will specialise in business-to-business communications

for dot.com start-ups. The remaining 80 per cent stake in PVC is held

equally by Pro Vision co-founders Amanda Simmons and Victoria

Sandars.

Cube8 director Dan Parker joins the PVC board as a result of the

deal.

Sandars said Cube8’s involvement gives PVC an immediate client base -

including Cube8. Mailround.com, a non-Cube8 e-mail marketing company,

will also be launched by PVC in May.

’We won’t be relying strictly on Cube8 for all our clients, but they’ll

be looking for new incubatees all the time, some of which they will put

our way. Some may still go to competitive pitch,’ she said.

Pro Vision Communications continues to handle consumer PR for clients,

including Tefal and WT Foods, however Sandars said there was the

potential for cross over between the two companies.

As well as Simmons and Sandars, Lisa Jeffreys has been taken on as a

senior manager and joins the company from the Definitive Group, an IT

recruitment company. A second PRO is also being sought.
