Man Bites Dog snares Ketchum Pleon's Mark de Wolf to head tech

Mark de Wolf, head of Ketchum Pleon's European technology practice, has joined Man Bites Dog as a board director to lead its technology team.

In addition to heading the agency’s tech practice, de Wolf will be responsible for new business development in the IT services, outsourcing and telecoms sectors.
 
De Wolf, a former business journalist, has built considerable experience in tech and B2B communications, with past clients including Oracle, IBM, Cisco and Nokia Siemens Networks.
 
He commented: ‘The days when communications and IT solutions were intrinsically interesting have passed, with vendors and consultancies under relentless pressure to demonstrate and deliver measurable business value. This has raised the bar for tech PR and these companies are increasingly looking to ideas-based marketing.’
 
The agency’s B2B tech offering has also been boosted with the hires of Toby Brown, who joins as an account manager from Buffalo Communications, and Clare Granville starting as a senior account exec from ITPR.

Separately account director Vic Miller has been promoted to operations director. Miller will focus on client services and brand strategy.
