City specialist Bankside Consultants has boosted its fee income to
more than pounds 1 million after bringing in property specialist Baron
Phillips and his clients. ’It is a positive move for us,’ said Bankside
chairman Keith Irons. ’He has vast experience in the property sector. It
is very much a partnership.’
Property clients such as the Burford group will join Bankside’s existing
accounts in e-commerce, mining, energy, technology and IT. The agency
also handles flotations.
Phillips has become a partner at Bankside. His former trading name,
Baron Phillips Associates has not been bought by the company. Both
parties started discussing the possibility of him joining the agency
last autumn.’Property has, in a sense, followed me around,’ he said.
The former Times property correspondent said that he also wants to
expand his knowledge of related areas such as construction and leisure.
