prompted by its clients’ desire to expand into Europe, the Middle East
’Existing clients want access into the European market,’ said London
managing director Jenny Swift. ’This market is very attractive for
US-based companies who wish to expand internationally.’
Continuity of service is one of the major reasons for setting up the new
office and although it will look to serve areas beyond the Continent,
the initial focus will be primarily on Europe.
Ann Stephenson, TSG founder and chief executive, said: ’The breakdown of
traditional market barriers in Europe has strengthened London’s position
as a world centre for financial technology.’
Swift, who previously held marketing roles with IT vendors, will be
supported by account director Susan Children and operations manager
She added that TSG is looking for account managers, particularly in
regions where English is the second language.
TSG was formed in the US in 1987 and its clients include Oracle, Cisco
and Trema treasury management systems. At the end of 1998 TSG had
increased its revenues by 58 per cent to pounds 1million and is expected
to report a similar financial performance for 1999.
