The Red Consultancy gained an excellent client assessment and was
the only agency to score a full house for meeting pitch promises in this
year’s report. In particular, clients were impressed by the way it lived
up to its promises in terms of results, service, and meeting the
original brief. But the most glowing praise was for being proactive and
generating ideas since the pitch.
Clients were also very positive about the nuts and bolts of PR,
especially in terms of meeting deadlines - although some would like to
see an improvement in its research. Encouragingly, all clients say Red
is ready to hand out tough advice when needed.
Overall, clients were more than satisfied with the agency, saying: ’They
do what it takes to get the job done’. The only fly in the ointment was
in the evaluation section, where clients felt its influence with opinion
formers could be better.
Credentials-wise, Red proved to be a victim of its own success. A fee
income growth of 36 per cent meant the agency scored an excellent mark
for business performance, but was penalised on infrastructure for
lacking the one thing it arguably does not need, a marketing strategy.
But, with one client remarking ’they deliver what they promise’, Red has
no worries.
