The City editor of the Scotsman, James Doran, has been poached by
the Times to become City correspondent. He replaces Jason Nisse, now
business editor at the Independent on Sunday, and is expected to take up
the new role in the new year. Doran joined the Scotsman on Sunday two
years ago after freelancing for the Evening Standard and the Financial
Times. After a year as City correspondent, Doran was made City editor,
at the age of 26.
