The Thames Valley Chamber of Commerce is preparing to appoint a PR
agency for the first time as part of a new strategy of increased
lobbying and media activity designed to promote its members’ interests.
The business lobby, which represents high-profile technology companies
such as Microsoft, Oracle and Compaq, will take an active campaigning
stance on issues such as transport, skills and people shortages in the
area. The move comes in the wake of Andrew Corrigan’s move from
Shandwick to become policy and communications manager at the chamber.
