Mark Cater left Cohn & Wolfe’s London office in October 2009, subsequently taking a job as managing director of Chamberlain Healthcare PR.
He is set to rejoin the company on 22 November, reporting to global CEO Donna Imperato.
Imperato said: ‘Quite simply, he is one of the best talents in the industry. His extensive global and healthcare experience will quickly make him an indispensable resource to our New York office and global clients.’
Cater will manage the office’s day-to-day operations, client service and business development activities.
US corporate head Michael Bayer, who was appointed deputy managing director of the New York office earlier this year, will continue in that role, working with Cater to build the office and its practices.
Before the EMEA role, Cater was CEO of GCI Group London, which merged with Cohn & Wolfe in 2008.
