Waters, currently planning partner at direct marketing agency Andrews Aldridge, will join the Blue Rubicon board from mid-November.
She will focus on strategic planning, leading on integrated communications strategy and enhancing the agency’s reputation in behaviour change campaigning, working alongside director Spencer Livermore, who recently set up the agency’s strategic consulting arm.
Blue Rubicon CEO Gordon Tempest-Hay said Water would add ‘a further dimension to our vision of communication solutions unfettered by discipline boundaries’.
He added: ‘Alongside Spencer Livermore…. Kate will enhance Blue Rubicon’s overall strategic and creative output.'
Blue Rubicon’s clients include Shell, Kraft, eBay, Facebook, McDonald’s and British Gas.
The agency was shortlisted for last week’s PRWeek Consultancy of the Year award, which was given to Mischief PR.
