University of Westminster hands retained contract to Broadgate Mainland

The University of Westminster has appointed Broadgate Mainland to manage its external relations and promote the university in the UK and to overseas markets.

Broadgate Mainland’s professional development practice will provide a range of services for the university and international research centres, including stakeholder and media relations, social media advice.

The agency was appointed after a competitive tender.

The University of Westminster was recently labelled the UK’s most improved university according to The Sunday Times’ league table and the best new university in London, after climbing 25 places over the last two years in the league table.

The university specialises in media studies, art and design, architecture and the built environment.

Account director Sarah Evans-Toyne, said: ‘Given the changes occurring in higher education and increasing competition, we see it’s important for universities to promote themselves more widely and across the media effectively. As an agency that has made its name in the commercial sector but with diverse team skills and knowledge, we can bring this strength of experience to support the University’s objectives.’
