The personal views of journalists, editorial decisions and the culture of media organisations influence how news is framed for audiences.
The Daily Mail and Guardian are likely to present different perspectives on the same event. But one is no more 'true' than the other. Thus, the onus should be on the public to decide where the 'truth' lies and to review both soft and hard news with a critical eye.
