The consumer agency has been appointed by Independent Print Limited to handle the launch of its new national newspaper i, working on a comms strategy across broadcast and trade media.
The new title goes on sale nationwide on 26 October for 20p.
Simon Kelner, editor-in-chief of The Independent, said it was aimed at readers ‘suffering from information overload who want a comprehensive digest of the news’.
W Communications is run by MD Warren Johnson. The agency’s appointment follows its work for The Independent in the run-up to this year’s general election in May.
