Darwall Smith Associates (DSA) has picked up the launch business
for an e-commerce venture backed by Avis Europe called
The agency will launch the service, designed to sell nearly-new cars
on-line, through trade media before promoting it to consumers. Stunts
aimed at both the media and consumers are planned.
Users can check the trade-in value of their existing vehicle. It will be
promoted to employees of companies linked to Avis to test the site
before the main marketing roll out.
DSA won the work - to be run by account director Abby Ogunsanya -
following an existing client’s referral. The agency will report to the
venture’s CEO, Saad Hammad.
DSA MD Gill Garside said: ’We want to reach people who want to buy
nearly-new cars. They are probably 25-plus men.’
