Talk Loud PR has won the brief to handle PR for the latest

Jeep-branded merchandise.

The youth marketing agency was appointed without a pitch by a consortium

of manufacturers awarded licences by DaimlerChrysler, owner of the Jeep

brand.

The range includes men’s, teens’ and kids’ clothing, bags, eyewear and

mountain bikes.

Work for the account kicks off at the 40 Degrees trade fashion show,

with the range due to launch next spring. Talk Loud will be positioning

the range along the lines of outdoor freedom and authenticity, with the

strapline: ’Live your life without limits.’

There will be activity to promote Jeep as a brand, as well as individual

campaigns for each product.

Addie Churchill, MD of Talk Loud, said: ’We will be trying to

communicate Jeep’s premium and functional offering to an audience of

outdoor, active and stylish men.’

The word ’jeep’ was first used by the US army as an abbreviation of

’GP’, standing for ’general purpose vehicle’. The jeep first became

popular among civilians in the 1950s.

- Talk Loud has also won the account for Polstar Vodka, an Icelandic

brand available in the UK though Reformed Spirits Company. Polstar is

being positioned as exclusive, and will only be available in the UK

through what they claim are the ’top 100’ bars in London.
