Roxan and Douglas take the helm at Westminster

Westminster Public Relations, part of the agency bought two weeks

ago by the Incepta Group, has appointed Adrian Roxan as managing

director.

Already a director following his joining the firm from the British

Medical Association in May 1996, Roxan is replacing Mark Oaten who was

elected as Liberal Democrat MP for Winchester at the general

election.

For the first time at Westminster a deputy managing director has also

been appointed, in the form of Colin Douglas.

Roxan said Incepta saw the double appointment as a way of helping to

strengthen the division’s drive for growth.

As a result of the two stepping up, the division is now looking to

appoint a ’senior player’ from outside the company, said Roxan.

The new person will help with Roxan’s existing health-related clients,

Douglas’ local government accounts, and contribute to the firm’s goal of

winning an increased amount of commercial work, said Roxan.

Westminster PR is one division of Westminster Communications, bought by

Incepta (PR Week, 4 July)

- Jackie Morgan, one of the founders of Incepta’s main subsidiary

Citigate, will be moving to Citigate’s New York office to help drum up

fees from US firms looking to move to Europe.
