Emap Online has appointed Soho PR as its first retained agency on
estimated six-figure fees.
Emap Online has been responsible for most of Emap’s digital
Soho will work across 12 brands including travel information and booking
sites Bargainholidays.com and A2bTravel. com, as well as Escape
Routes.com, the digital companion to the Emap Elan magazine,
Board-it.com, the snowboarding web site, Aloud.com, the on-line
entertainment booking service and What’s OnStage.com, a searchable
database and booking service for theatre, opera and dance.
The account will be led by Soho MD Anita Strymowicz and Dominique
Flewitt who heads the agency’s broadcast unit. They will report to
Andrew Warner who heads marketing for Emap Online. Soho was appointed
without a pitch as a result of successful ’guerrilla marketing’ project
work at the end of last year for Bargain holidays. com’s ’Don’t be a
Dome Head’ campaign.
