Flack: Hedgehog to head 'grassroots projects and green practices'

OK, let's ignore the jokes about how to tell the difference between a PR agency and a hedgehog and all go 'Ah, sweet' as we drool over Bramble, the latest recruit to PrettyGreen, making his debut as part of the agency's Macmillan Cancer Support coffee morning.

Bramble, an African pygmy hedgehog and pet of an unnamed staffer (what sort of person keeps a flea-ridden hedgehog as a pet, Flack wonders), is said by the agency to head its 'grassroots projects and green practices'. But Flack is less than impressed by PrettyGreen's decision to use last week's issue of PRWeek as a litter tray ... Congratulations to the PR legend that is David Wynne-Morgan, nominated for the PRCA Personality of the Year award. Wynne-Morgan, who has been in the business for 53 years and currently spends half the month in Singapore as CEO of Bell Pottinger Asia, was nevertheless a little puzzled by the nomination. 'I'm flattered, of course, but which year am I being nominated for?' he mused ... Talking of self-effacement, Home Secretary Theresa May's love of leopard-skin print clearly extends to all occasions. Invited by new agency Sidecar to open a training facility in her Maidenhead constituency, the agency thoughtfully laid on a pair of leopard-print wellies in case of rain. But Ms May already had her own leopard-print pair to hand. That girl could do well in PR account management.
