Voluntary Sector: JBP to handle Hft campaign

National learning disabilities charity Hft - previously Home Farm Trust - has called in external PR support as it readies a campaign to mark the charity's 50th anniversary.

Bristol-based JBP beat four other agencies in a competitive pitch earlier this month for a contract that will run from autumn 2010 until the middle of 2012.

The brief invited agencies to submit ideas that would help to raise Hft's profile as an innovator in its field, in particular its cutting edge work with assistive technology.

Jacqui Gwilliam, Hft's director of fundraising, comms and marketing, said: 'Hft is operating in an increasingly fragmented and competitive marketplace, which makes it all the more important to have strong brand awareness and targeted communications.'

The campaign will target a range of audiences from people with a learning disability and their families, to local authority commissioners and politicians.
