Managing director of GCI London, Nicholas Walters, has been
appointed chairman of GCI Asia-Pacific and chief executive of GCI Hong
Kong/China and will head an expansion drive across the region. Based in
Hong Kong, he reports to Bob Feldman, GCI’s worldwide president, but
will also work closely with Grey Advertising’s regional CEO, Jon Fox.
According to Walters, one his first tasks will be to strengthen GCI’s
Hong Kong presence by acquiring a rival and developing its relationship
with Japanese affiliate GCI Supub. Walters joined GCI London in 1991
following the acquisition of corporate and financial consultancy McAvoy
Bayley where he was director.
