SAN JOSE: Software giant Novell has appointed the Porter Novelli
Convergence Group to handle its corporate and product PR, reportedly
worth fees of around pounds 1 million.
The appointment follows Novell’s ’amicable’ parting after five years
with Cunningham Communications.
’Cunningham is a great agency which contributed greatly to our
turnaround,’ said Susan Fallon, Novell’s director of worldwide PR. ’But
after five years, it was time to make a change and get some fresh
PNCG beat a handful of firms which were invited to pitch, but neither
Fallon nor PNCG would reveal the exact number of agencies pitching.
’The PN Convergence Group has a proven track record in hi-tech, a
commitment to results and a strong focus on internet and e-business
companies,’ said Fallon.
The initial PR focus will be on the US trade media, with special
attention paid to Silicon Valley and Mexico.
