On-Line Sports has appointed Chris Patmore as head of PR following
its decision to move PR operations in-house.
Patmore, who started last week at the games publishing company, reports
to publishing director Andrew Hewson, and takes over the role played by

move its PR work in-house,’ said Patmore.
Patmore brings three years’ in-house experience at Channel Five, where
he worked on the retuning project, on distribution projects and in a
publicity role launching new programme titles.
His brief at On-Line involves publicising forthcoming net sports titles,
including Giant Killers, Euro Manager, AFL Coach and Xtreme Bike
He aims to increase consumer coverage and will be targeting games
magazines as well as TV and radio.
’The gaming industry is completely booming at the moment. There are lots
of new publications coming out and it’s developing all the time. It is
the ideal time to get into gaming,’ Patmore says.
In addition to his day job, Patmore has spent the last three-and-a-half
years as a volunteer for the charity Gay Men Fighting Aids, in a
communications capacity. Before joining Channel Five, he worked as a
marketing and PR assistant at Associated Newspapers.
