D-Link manufactures networking, wireless, storage, security and IP surveillance products for both the business and consumer markets.
As part of its remit, Hotwire will develop campaign strategy and generate content for B2B and B2C campaigns.
Hotwire will work across more than 15 countries within Europe.
The six-figure account was won following a competitive pitch.
It is understood to be the first time D-Link has hired an agency for this particular brief.
D-Link’s European business solutions marketing manager, Mary Harrison, said: ‘We needed to refresh our comms strategy to drive greater awareness of the business in the European market.
‘Our plan is to enhance brand awareness with consistent messaging that highlights our extensive capabilities in networking software, hardware and services.’

D-Link is currently preparing for the European launch of its Boxee Box, a product that integrates TV and the web.
The black box houses the Intel Atom CE4100 processor, the latest of the ‘system-on-a-chip’ family from the processor technology firm.
The chip provides viewers with enhanced performance, audio visual and graphic capabilities.
The Boxee Box will officially launch in Europe during November.
