19 September A fascinating milestone in social sharing online was passed on 17 September, when the five-billionth photo was publicly shared on Flickr, the online photo-sharing service that was in at the beginning of the social media revolution.
SOME USEFUL NUMBERS

17 September MarketingProfs has a nice summary of a Booz & Co B2B marketing survey.
I thought the numbers were useful. Looking at expected marketing budget allocations over the next two or three years, 67 per cent of respondents expect to spend more on social media. Digital comes in second at 64 per cent and PR at 61 per cent.
I'm not sure how marketers separate those three things in their minds - social media, PR and digital are very much intertwined.

15 September I'm not one of those crusadey 'leave my social media platform alone' people. In honesty, I could not care less as long as I can convince myself that it's worth my time using it. However, a man can change. Yesterday, an apparently novel idea was born - Twinterview. With my hatred for cutesy Twitter-related portmanteaus aside, I wanted to discuss just how successful the concept was.
