Global human resources firm NorthgateArinso has put Lewis PR on alert by repitching its six-figure global PR account.
The firm has issued a tender for its multi-jurisdiction corporate and B2B account, currently worth more than £300,000 per year.
The deadline for agency submissions is understood to be the end of September, with pitches being held in the third week of October.
Lewis won the account prior to Northgate Information Solutions' HR division rebranding following its purchase of Belgian firm Arinso in 2007.
It is thought Lewis intends to repitch for the account.
The company is now one of the largest HR service providers in the world, with offices in 31 countries servicing firms in more than 70 nations. The firm's 5,000 staff serve more than 50 per cent of FTSE 100 companies and 20 per cent of the Fortune Global 500 firms.
NorthgateArinso is seeking a global PR partner to help promote the brand in key locations to attract new clients and raise the profile of the firm in specialist and national media titles. A primary aspect of the brief is B2B work, but the account also encompasses corporate media relations and reputation aspects.
One agency source added that he understood digital would also form part of the new brief. It was also noted that, although PR spend was in excess of £300,000 a year, this included servicing a large number of countries.
The account incorporates a broad global reach, so a number of agencies with integrated international networks are understood to be planning initial submissions for the brief.
It is also thought that agencies in key jurisdictions would pitch for the account as 'lead agencies', using local consultancies in some locations.
Maitland previously worked for Northgate on a financial comms brief before its voluntary delisting from the London Stock Exchange in 2008 following its sale to private equity firm Kohlberg Kravis Roberts.
NorthgateArinso specialises in offering technology to human resources professionals, supporting key HR areas such as workforce administration; payroll; benefits; recruitment; learning and talent management.
Forty per cent of the UK working population are paid through NorthgateArinso's products, totalling 54 million payslips annually, servicing 19 million UK workers.
