Media Bounty has secured its 100th acre of critically threatened rainforest, as part of a partnership with environmental charity the World Land Trust. Since its launch, Media Bounty has been purchasing acres of rainforest habitat every time it undertakes a campaign for clients and the 100th acre was paid for by Kenco.

The Financial Times has selected Action Against Hunger/ACF International as a partner for its 2010-2011 appeal to readers.

The charity is an international humanitarian organisation with life-saving programmes in more than 40 countries.

Mind has announced the shortlist for this year's Mind Mental Health Media Awards. The event celebrates the best portrayal of mental distress and reporting of mental health in broadcast media. Richard Curtis, Jimmy McGovern and Paul Abbott are some of the writers whose work has been shortlisted.

The PR Academy has awarded Alexandra Bolton, comms assistant at Centrepoint, a bursary towards studying the CIPR Advanced Certificate in public relations.
