Granada Media Interactive, the on-line advertising and sponsorship
arm of media group Granada, has hired Propeller Marketing and
Communications on a trade brief to promote its interactive web
Propeller managing director Martin Loat and account director Richard
Gill will head the account, reporting to GMI’s commercial and marketing

The account aims to raise GMI’s profile among advertisers.
GMI’s consumer PR will continue to be handled in-house, but Propeller
will represent sites including g-wizz.net, an internet service provider
featuring behind-the-scenes footage from Coronation Street and This
Morning with Richard and Judy.
The remit also covers sports sites such as ITV-F1.com, and a football
site is expected to launch within the contract’s six initial months.
Gill said the win marked a fresh emphasis on new media for Propeller,
adding that until now the agency had relied mainly on traditional media
clients such as the Cartoon Network and the Daily Telegraph advertising
